Harkins Real Estate & Auctioneers was founded in 1957 by Kenneth P. Harkins and is now run by veteran auctioneer Michael R. Harkins.

Meet Michael R. Harkins

Michael Harkins, auctioneer and Lowell native, entered the real estate business more than thirty years ago following in his father’s footsteps.

As president of Harkins Real Estate, he has found opportunities selling real estate, auctioning off foreclosed properties, and acquiring non-performing loans discarded by lenders for appearing difficult to pursue. His father, auctioneer Kenneth P. Harkins, founded the business in 1957 and it has continued to grow within the family ever since.

In the past, he provided his auctioneer skills pro bono for various charity events. In the past, Harkins has worked extensively to help raise money for the Lawrence Boys and Girls club….

Happily married with two grown children and avid skier, Harkins often spends his time out of the office on the slopes with his family during the winter months.
